John XXIII’s highly knowledgeable staff are here to provide information about HIV/AIDS. Education is our strongest ally against this disease. Our goal is to help individuals prevent HIV infection and assist those living positive gain access to medical and supportive services. HIV education programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of those we serve. Staff are available for individual consultations, group presentations, and special events. We can tailor programs to meet your interests and needs. Our specialized educational programs include, but are not limited to:
- Prevention with Positives
- High-Risk Outreach and Testing
- African American Counseling and Testing (AACT)
- Men who have Sex with Men (MSM)
- Injection Drug Users (IDU)
- Latino/a Counseling and Testing
- HIV Education within Recovery Programs
- Jail Testing
- Syringe Exchange
- Street Outreach
- Bar Outreach
Other HIV educational services include: skills building forums, literature distribution, condom and safer sex supply distribution, and referrals to other community social services.
