Emotional Support

Individual Support

The Emotional Support Department is here with a ready ear and a steady heart to walk with you and your loved ones through the challenges you may face living with HIV/AIDS.  One-on-one conversations and referrals to outside sources of help are available, depending on your specific needs.

Support Groups

Grief & Growth- Offers a safe space for family, friends, partners, and caregivers of those who have died or are ill with AIDS to share experiences, celebrate the lives of those they’ve lost, and explore ways to heal and grow.

HIV Positive Women’s Group- Offered on a rotating basis, provides a place for females to gather and share experiences while supporting each other in a comfortable and confidential atmosphere.

HIV Positive Spanish Speakers- Offered on a rotating basis, this is a time for monolingual HIV positive individuals to gather in a safe and confidential environment.

Face-to-Face Program

Many people living with HIV/AIDS experience feelings of depression and anxiety that are often associated with geographic and social isolation.  Face-to-Face links trained friendly visitor volunteers with HIV+ clients.  Friendly visitors regularly contact their partners and continually offer support, guidance and encouragement through phone calls, coffee shop visits, walking, sight-seeing, and Face-to-Face group activities like bowling.
